Eightcap Challenges may be a newer name, but Eightcap’s history in prop trading began years before the product launched.

Between 2021 and 2024, Eightcap supported more than 300,000 funded challenges across approximately 40 prop firms and education brands.

It saw the industry grow rapidly and also saw what happened when hype moved faster than infrastructure, transparency and trader trust.

Eightcap eventually stepped away from the space. So why come back?

The industry needed a reset

The rapid growth of prop trading created more opportunities for traders, but it also introduced new problems.

Some firms relied on aggressive marketing, complex conditions or unrealistic ideas about how quickly traders could make money. In other cases, firms depended heavily on external providers for their platforms and trading technology. When those relationships changed, the firms (and their traders) could be left exposed, with limited control to influence outcomes.

Eightcap believed there was room for a different approach: less hype, stronger infrastructure and a clearer experience from purchase to payout.

This time, Eightcap built the product

Eightcap Challenges launched in November 2025 as a product operated directly by Eightcap.

Instead of providing infrastructure behind the scenes for another brand, Eightcap gained greater control over the trader experience – from the challenge products and trading platforms to customer support and payout processes.

That makes it easier to respond directly to trader feedback and introduce features without relying entirely on a white-label provider’s roadmap.

Different traders. Different paths.

The current range reflects that approach.

One-Phase and Two-Phase Challenges provide familiar evaluation structures with no overall time limit.

Day Trader Challenges offer a faster, session-based format lasting between one and eight hours.

Traders can also select add-ons that improve payout timing, profit share or account protection.

The aim is not to force every trader into the same model. It is to provide different paths for different strategies, experience levels and trading personalities.

No surprises

The philosophy behind Eightcap Challenges is simple: traders should understand what they are buying.

That means clear rules, visible progress through the trader dashboard and access to support when something is unclear.

Prop trading still requires patience, consistency and risk control. Eightcap returned because it believed the experience surrounding the challenge could be faster, more flexible and more professional, without pretending that trading itself is easy.
